We had to wait over an hour to be seated but it was okay because we were able to sit outside in the shade and listen to the live band. The food was by no means the best I've ever had, but it was good. For an appetizer I ordered the crab cake. It was tasty but way too small to be $10. For an entree I ordered ribeye and shrimp. They both had good flavor but the shrimp was not top quality however I did receive a large portion. My bill along with my husbands meal was $65.00. Although I might come back while on vacation next year I won't return this week. This also will not be one of the restaurants that I praise to friends or family.

nice restaurant, nice view....but food wasn't seasoned very well, although the hush puppies and salad were pretty good. I had the seafood chowder...good amounts of fish and potatoes, but just lacking the right seasoning. My wife had the shrimp and grits that was just OK...the grits were not very creamy and seasoning for the whole dish was bland.

Well the last visit was great, this visit not so much. The fish was rubbery which indicates frozen. The crab cakes were not good - I'm from Maryland I should know. Crab in the cakes were solid rubber. Murrels Inlet is right down the street! Sarah J should definitely buy local. Fresh fresh fresh is the key! Server was obsolete most of the time. Waited on drinks for awhile. One server seemed to be babysitting and working at the same time. While you're at a table waiting on your guest, your daughter shouldn't be grabbing for your attention. You're there to work. The vegetables were definitely frozen then steamed.. What happened to this place?

Food was very good, if the weather is good Sit it out on the deck, it overlooks the marsh. Service was excellent the waitress was attentive and friendly. My wife and I shared a combo platter, we had plenty of food. We each had a cuo of clam chowder which tasted well but would of had more clams in it. They also should have oyster crackers rather than saltines. We would definitely go back.

If you're looking for fresh seafood- do NOT come here! The view and staff were nice, but the food was terrible. The stuffed shrimp were basically just slathered with mayonnaise, the shrimp and scallop pasta had very small shrimp and a bland sauce, and the garlic bread was stale.

This was heartbreakingly disappointing. I have fond memories of enjoying this restaurant as a child...teenager...young adult... with my family. Tonight, I brought my family back to the restaurant that I recalled being very classy and well done. This evening, and our $600 meal (for 12), was gross. The food was mediocre at best. We couldn't hear each other speaking because the atrocious live band was so loud. The service was a joke. I just could not believe that the place I once considered the classiest spot for dinner in the area had turned into a Joe's Crab Shack. Horrible.

The service was great and the seating / view were perfect but the food was very disappointing. The prices were high... $20 min a plate, and when they arrived it was all over cooked seafood. The sides were lacking as well...frozen vegetable medley and bland rice. The hush puppies were the highlight of the meal.

Location was great but that's about all they had going for them. I got the shrimp scampi with high expectations and they fell flat on their faces. The shrimp was good but the pasta tasted like it came right out of a pot with no sauce at all. Everything was expensive also but our server was great. But everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Just stay away from the scampi.

Very clean and quick even on a busy evening. The hush puppies were the best I have ever had. Good location with a nice view of the inlet. Waitress was nice and made a point that they keep things clean, which showed. I got the calamari with the seafood soup and both were very good and also some of the cheaper things on the menu. Prices are a bit high for some things but I was not expecting any different. Good selection of seafood with several types of fish. If you like seafood and want a good view then this is thr place.

Pretty status quo. Nice patio dining on the marsh. Was our first stop for the local fare, food was OK, but nothing to bring us back. Like some of the other comments, somewhat of a tourist trap.

This was easily the worst seafood I ever tasted. The server was nice. But the oysters came out still attached to the shell. The Rockefeller was cheddar cheese and the oysters were shriveled and small. Then the lobster came out with a deep black attachment. I tried to send it back bit the owner said it was just skin. Are u kidding. Wow. Then a server came up to my friend and got in her face and started yelling. I have never seen or tasted anything that bad. However. The free hush puppies were tasty with a honey butter. I will never ever go back.

Tourist trap. Frozen seafood. Speed rounds to turn the tables and get you out as fast as possible. Amazing view.

We went for some good fried seafood that was not a chain restraunt and we got it. Between the free hush puppies and honey-butter, and the fried calamari that is nicely spicy and not expensive we had a great start. The shrimp scampi was great, combination was good, crab cakes were average, stuffed shrimp was good. Kids meals were good also. If you are going for local freid seafood this will leave you FULL and happy.

Great location but the combination seafood platter was terrible. The fish was some sort of whitefish that had absolutely no flavor. The deviled crab was good. Portion sizes are lacking and the menu is way overpriced. The only thing worth going back for are the hush puppies and the service. Definitely a tourist trap.

Fried shrimp and oysters were excellent. We shared a plate and it was more than enough for both of us.
